ANAND GURUKUL

Campus as Curriculum

The Gurukul campus is envisioned as a place to live, learn, work, produce, solve problems and serve.

LIVE + LEARN + WORK + PRODUCE + SELL

The campus can gradually become a learning-and-production ecosystem connecting agriculture, dairy, animal husbandry, poultry, fisheries, horticulture, composting, food processing, nurseries, digital services, publications and student enterprise.

Learning through real systems

Agriculture: grow vegetables. Economics: maintain enterprise accounts. English: prepare reports. Computers: create media. Science: investigate real problems. Leadership: manage projects. Community service: address practical local needs.

Phased development

The mature Shakha model is envisioned at significant scale, but development begins much smaller. Growth should be phased and evidence-driven rather than driven by headline numbers.

Architecture & safety

Potential construction approaches include RCC skeletal structures, compressed-earth or mud blocks, bamboo, local stone, lime and other climate-responsive techniques. Final construction must comply with applicable engineering, building, fire, sanitation, child-safety and statutory requirements.

Safeguarding

A residential environment involving minors requires robust systems for child protection, accommodation, supervision, staff conduct, reporting, emergencies, health and hygiene, visitors, transport, digital safety and grievances. Detailed operating policies remain subject to finalisation.
